What is a SmartHub Builder?
The SmartHub is the main page of your Edenred Engagement platform. It allows you to create a homepage that simplifies navigation while centralizing your links and information on a single page, making it easy for your employees to find your company's content. It will help increase the traffic to certain content by highlighting it in your SmartHub.
Tiles serve as the foundation for a SmartHub. Their user-friendly drag-and-drop feature makes it easy to create a SmartHub tailored to the specific needs and preferences of an organization. This guide provides practical information on getting started with the SmartHub Builder, which will help you foster greater engagement on your platform.
Getting started
To access the SmartHub Builder, log in onto your Reward Manager portal and navigate to Smart Products > SmartHub
Once on the "Edit Smarthub page" it's time to start building your page:
- Click on "Create new layout" to start building a new layout.
- Enter a name for your layout and confirm your selection.
- Next, you can customize the end of the URL (don't hesitate to copy-paste the name of your SmartHub).
- After the setup is complete, click "edit" to begin modifying your SmartHub.
Understanding the Smarthub Builder
Once you are on your SmartHub editing page, you will encounter several elements:
- Side Menu Bar: This menu provides easy access to all the tiles you need to customize your SmartHub. Refer to this article for a comprehensive understanding of the available tiles and their usage.
- Version Creator: In this section, you can manage various versions of your SmartHub. Each version corresponds to a segment in your profile database, typically reflecting languages spoken within your organization (e.g., NL, FR, EN). Alternatively, it can be associated with different departments (e.g., IT, Legal, Sales) or any other type of segmentation inside your company. If you’re creating a SmartHub for the first time, please follow these guidelines to ensure the correct versions are linked to the appropriate languages.
- SmartHub Title & Description: Here, you can set a title and description for your SmartHub homepage, designed to welcome users and guide them on how to navigate the platform.
- Editing bar: This feature allows you to switch between SmartHubs, modify the URL, or deactivate your SmartHub from the platform.
Tile classification and dimensions
Use this guideline to design your layout and appropriately size your tile designs. The image below can assist you in calculating pixel dimensions for the tiles. There is a 60-pixel white space between each tile. These recommended pixel sizes ensure that your artwork displays at optimal quality across all screen sizes and devices.
When uploading an image, ensure that its size and orientation match the desired tile dimensions (for instance, avoid using a horizontal image for a 1x2 tile). Tip: To achieve the best results, upload images with a width of 1000px or greater.
